Improve School Infrastructure to Provide a Safe Learning Environment
School 1089 “Puerta del Monte” is located in a rural area of Santiago del Estero and serves around forty students and their teachers. The school faces serious structural deficiencies that compromise the safety and well-being of the educational community.
Argentina Chicago Foundation, in collaboration with Fundación San Genaro, carried out an infrastructure improvement project to ensure a safe, healthy, and suitable environment for learning and development.
The project included:
- Repairing cracks in the foundations, walls, and ceilings.
- Installing thermal insulation in the roof.
- Replastering and painting classrooms and the dining area.
- Repairing the perimeter fence to secure the school grounds.
- Donating an Ekofil water filter to provide safe drinking water.
Through these improvements, the project provided students and teachers with a safe and welcoming educational space that promotes learning, health, and community growth in this rural area of Santiago del Estero.
